Backpacking Tent Camping - Sprouts

Sprouts are a good backpacking tent camping food when you are going to be hiking and camping for an extended period. After soaking seeds for 12 hours you can rinse them 2 times a day and keep them moist in a cotton or hemp bag. After they are sprouted you can eat them raw or boil them for a nutritious meal. Seeds for sprouting are the most nutritious food you can carry for the weight. When backpacking tent camping add sprouts to your menu. When sprouting and backpacking be sure that you can rinse the sprouts with safe water. It's best to boil sprouts before eating them, contamination is possible and you won't want to get sick backpacking tent camping. I like to just add them to my rice and beans.
